In the soviet time there were this kind of milk platforms by the roads all over the Estonia. Farmers brought their milk to these milk platforms and then the milk truck collected it from there. Men had to pour the milk from the vessels into the truck’s tank by themselves, therefore the platforms for reaching up there. Today there are only very few of those milk platforms left and they are, like this one on the photo, only for aesthetic purposes as monuments.
